12/29/2007  I’m in “HYPHEN” magazine!

This is my first time being in a national magazine.  You can see my illustration for the story, “All Of The Fun And None Of The Work” in Hyphen magazine, Issue 13, Winter 2007.

Also, the illustrations below are for a local quarterly newsletter.

12/22/2007  Add new work “Destroy Subuta Japan / Houryu-ji”

This is the newest in the ‘Subuta’ series.  This time the girls are destroying Houryu-ji, located in Nara, a major cultural center of Japan. It’s one of many buildings in the city that holds historic preservation status.  I realize that you can’t tell by my art, but I do have a deep respect for Japanese culture and history!

12/07/2007  My art at “Sake Nomi”

I was given the opportunity to hang some of my artwork at Sake Nomi in Pioneer Square, just in time for the December First Thursdays artwalk.  If you have a chance, please check out this great sake shop to learn more about sake and view my art.

11/30/2007  Add new work “Fuku Yu”

Here’s my latest art, entitled “Fuku Yu”.  It’s a scene from a public bath named Fuku-Yu(“Happy Hot Tub”), during Christmas.  Santa Claus got himself stuck in a long, narrow chimney; as a result, smoke gets backed up inside the public bath and causes frightened patrons to run outside naked. Notice the similarity between the Japanese “Fuku Yu” and the f-bomb(F*** You!) in English?

11/16/2007   Sake to me, Baby!

I created this design for a local sake shop called Sake Nomi. The t-shirts came out looking great.  They sell for $20.00, and are available in women’s and men’s sizes.

The store reminds me of Japan - it’s very nicely decorated and organized.  They have several varieties of sake available for free tastings every day, and dozens of varieties available for purchase.

Please visit Sake Nomi if you have a chance!  :-)

11/8/2007 Introducing My Blog, “POPOON GA GA”!

....But it’s in Japanese. I made an RSS tool in the site bar, so that you can receive my blog updates without having to check back every day...it’s amazing!  But unfortunately some browsers won’t support this.  Sorry :-(

4/6/2007   My first art show!(inside Fresh Flours)

It was very well received, and I was surprised that I was able to sell lots of prints.  Thanks to all for checking out my show, and a special ‘thank you’ to those who purchased my art.  I hope you’re enjoying it!

4/5/2007  My first art show!

I'm having my first Art Show during the month of April. My works from Popoon World will be displayed at Fresh Flours, 6015 Phinney Ave N Seattle, just north of the Zoo. If you haven't been to this cafe and bakery, now is the time to go. Wonderful people, delicious baked goods, and they happen to serve the most awesome Chai and Matcha Lattes! Please check it out if you get a chance.
